Alex Cañas and his wife, Elizabeth, recently relocated to Ward 1 in North Royalton. The shop is in the Timber Ridge Plaza at the intersection of Sprague Road and York Road and is open for appointments to bathe, brush, and trim your cat or dog. From the website, in Alex own words,

Grooming By Alex started on April 1st 2003. I used to go to people’s homes to groom their dogs. August 7th 2007 I opened my first location and about 2 1/2 years later moved to our current location because the business was growing rapidly. I’d met my wife Elizabeth Cañas in 2011 and together we were able to work hard to improve and modernize the business. Elizabeth also worked very hard making sure that the computer system that we use were properly set up and manage too the operational part of the business. We started the food drive donations to the West Side Catholic Center and pictures with Santa and The Easter Bunny to help St Jude Children’s hospital.
